This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Madeline and her children at Centennial park. It felt really good to be out taking photos of actual people for once. There was still some snow on the ground but it was a beautiful evening to capture some great moments. Even though it was a mini session, we came away with so many memorable photos. It helped that everyone was such a good sport with the somewhat wet environment.

Lisa and Claudio were supposed to get married this past weekend, but because of what is going on, it had to be pushed back until May. Well, that didn’t stop Lisa from still doing something special this weekend, which is exactly what she did. The result, I very small and intimate together with her closest friends. Seeing as how I’m her wedding photographer, she asked if I was interested in capturing an hour or so of the small celebration. I of course said yes!

I recently had the opportunity to capture some photography as well as video for Rochelle Lee of Pivot Consulting and Coaching. She needed some updated photography for her website and social media. My latest portrait session with Chad and his family took place on John Street Road at their home. It was a nice change to have a session at a family home, then one of the usual locations in town. We started inside their beautiful home for a mix of candid and posed photos by the fireplace. For the last half of the session we ventured outside. Once outside, it gave the kids a chance to really be themselves, which I loved!

It’s always nice when families book me for a session after getting a gift certificate from a previous client. That was exactly the case with Jennifer and her family this past weekend. They chose the field beside Confederation College and it was the perfect location. I never thought to use it before, but I think I will be doing so again in the near future.

I have photographed Anika and her family more than a few times over the years, and each time, I’m amazed at quickly Will and Abby are growing up. It’s an ongoing joke that Will has endless energy each session, and I just have to try to keep up with him. This time around, it was no exception. I wouldn’t have it any other way though!

I still can’t believe how nice out it was this past weekend. It honestly felt like spring. Even though it was extremely last minute, I managed to book a few mini sessions with families.
