Luckily winter hasn’t full arrived yet, so that meant it was a relatively warm session with Amy and her family at Centennial Park earlier this week. We did have grand plans of recreating photos of when the kids were much smaller but that didn’t quite work out. Her two youngest were quite shy and not particularly up for photos.

I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Liam’s wedding last year, which was such a great time. Fast forward to this past weekend, and I joined them for a portrait session at the Tree Farm. It was also an opportunity to announce and celebrate Jessica’s pregnancy.

My last wedding of the year was such an amazing way to end the season. It was another intimate backyard ceremony, with close friends and relatives. As I mentioned before, if there is a bright side to the current restrictions, it’s that I get to do a lot more of these small weddings, which I absolutely love.

Last week I photographed David’s side of the family over at the Tree Farm, and it was a super fun session. This time around, we choose Centennial Park, to capture Amy’s side of the family. It was equally as fun, if not a little bit colder. Regardless, everyone had a great time and I once again, ended up with a good mix of posed and candid photos. What a beautiful family!

It’s always nice doing portraits for people I have worked with in the past, on a professional level. Leah is a local business owner and she wanted some family portraits. I got to meet her wonderful husband Barrett. They were such a lovely couple to spend a chilly but beautiful afternoon with. I really can’t wait to photograph Jake and Journee’s wedding in a couple years! It’s still a long way off, so I was happy when they asked me to do a portrait session with them. The session we did last year, also had snow on the same day. It all worked out though, as it make the tree farm even prettier.

I am really going to miss this fall weather once it’s gone. I have been having such an amazing time photographing different families over the past 2 months. I can already see the frost on the ground in the mornings, and most of the leaves falling. But, that also means winter will soon be here, and along with it, a totally different look!

My latest mini session was with Matt and his family at Squaw Bay . It’s located on Fort William First Nation, and really is a hidden gem. There is definitely a lot of room for improvement for the overall area, but the backdrop is simply one of the best in the city. Luckily, I had an equally beautiful family to capture.

Instead of my recent locations like the Tree Park and Centennial, it felt good getting out for a session at Chippewa Park. Desiree, Nathan and their two beautiful girls were so much fun to photograph. Even though it was quite chilly out, they were all up for the challenge, and the photos turned out great!
