It was the second year in a row that I had the chance to capture some family portraits for Desiree and Nathan. This time around their mom joined them as well. The backdrop was the always beautiful Tree Farm. Even though it had only been a year, it’s always amazing to see how quickly kids grow up!

Desiree + Nathan Portraits - Chippewa Park
Instead of my recent locations like the Tree Park and Centennial, it felt good getting out for a session at Chippewa Park. Desiree, Nathan and their two beautiful girls were so much fun to photograph. Even though it was quite chilly out, they were all up for the challenge, and the photos turned out great!

Desiree + Jonah Newborn Portraits
My first of two studio sessions this past Sunday was with Desiree and Jonah and their baby twins. It was only a 30 minute session so we worked fast, but it was so much fun and we came away with so many great photos. I'm so excited to finally have a proper studio where there is a lot more space to work with. Desiree and Jonah had some great outfits for both babies so it was just a matter of making sure they stayed still for a few moments here and there.

I'm so excited to finally have a proper studio where there is a lot more space to work with. Desiree and Jonah had some great outfits for both babies so it was just a matter of making sure they stayed still for a few moments here and there.
Luckily, they were both about 3 weeks old so it wasn't too hard to pose them. My wife Anne helped immensely with wrapping them up and setting stuff up so I was thankful to have her help out. Desiree + Terry Portraits
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting and eventually photographing Desiree and Terry. They contacted me to see if I could take their engagement photos for their upcoming wedding. I jumped at the chance, especially since it was at the completely revamped marina.
Recently I had the pleasure of meeting and eventually photographing Desiree and Terry. They contacted me to see if I could take their engagement photos for their upcoming wedding. I jumped at the chance, especially since it was at the completely revamped marina.
I decided to do the photos later in the day just as the sun was getting a bit lower. This allowed for some fantastic lighting. The weather was a bit cold but once we got walking it warmed up. We started at one end of the marina and worked our way to the other, taking some photos along the way.
The hour went by extremely fast and it was a great time. They were definitely a fun couple to photograph as they were willing to do anything. Plus, they were throwing out their own suggestions as well which I always encourage. Thanks again to both Desiree and Terry!
