Tobin + Kristi Family Portraits - Centennial Park
I love photographing families, especially ones that I have been doing for a number of years now. Case in point, Kristi and Tobin and of course Hudson and Grace. It’s just so amazing seeing how fast the kids grow up and mature. Plus it helps that there is no adjustment period, everyone is just comfortable right off the bat.

This time around, we managed to find some time this past weekend at our favourite spot that we have used a couple times in the past, Centennial Park. It was the perfect day and weather for some fall portraits. As usual, we kept it super casual and kind of just went with the flow. Grace and Hudson were awesome models as usual. Although, I truly believe for every single photo, Hudson said ‘cheese’, which as very amusing. After getting some great shots at Centennial Park, we drove down the small park near the entrance captured some more photos on the river bank. Luckily the water wasn’t as high there compared to Centennial Park.
While we were there Grace showed me some more of her special poses and even a few dance moves. Hudson proved that he does have quite the throwing arm on him too.
Before we called it a day, we finished the session off on Cooke Street downtown, using the graffiti walls as a backdrop. It is one of my favourite areas in town and I was so excited when Tobin suggested it. They ended up being some of my favourite photos from the entire session.
It was a fitting end to a very fun session. As I am sure I have said after every session, I very much look forward to the next one!
Kristi + Tobin Family Portraits - Centennial Park
In reality, I have only been doing professional photography for about 6 years now. But in that time, I have had the chance to photograph families multiple times and Kristi and Tobin are one of those families. My favourite part of photographing the same family each year is that you get to see the kids grow up in the process. That, and it's that much more comfortable when you already know the family, especially the kids.

We chose Centennial Park for this session because it's Fall and the colours are just right. Plus, it's always a beautiful location to shoot portraits at. As I do with most of my portraits session, we set up for a few posed photos but the majority of the shots were just candid ones. where I simply let everyone interact and let the moments happen.
My favourite part of the session was when we finished off by the water. Those were definitely some of my favourite photos. I really can't wait until next years session!
Tobin + Family Portraits - Tree Farm
What another great session with Tobin, Kristi and their ever growing family. This was the second time using this specific location with them so I was anxious to get back there and capture some updated photos, especially with the new addition to the family. The tree farm is such a perfect location in that you can literally spend the whole session in spot if you really wanted to. Well, we made sure we moved around a bit so I think we came away with some great moments.

Admittedly, there aren't a lot of leaves at the tree farm but with that being said, there was still a lot of great 'colour' there. Plus, when you are right smack dab in the middle of these rows of huge trees, that's more then enough. Everyone had a great time during the session and we even managed to end it with some leaf throwing on the trail.
It was such a pleasure photographing Tobin and Kristi's family. Especially at such a wonderful location. I'm very much looking forward to our next session in the near future.
Kristi + Family Portraits
It seems as though summer took forever to get here and who knows how long this hot weather is going to last. So, Krisi and her whole family took advantage and we had a wonderful photo session at Centennial Park. Even at 6:30 it was still quite hot but we managed to bear the heat, find some shade and come away with some truly fun and candid photos.

As we walked down the first trail we stopped along the way. We did some whole family shots on the train tracks and eventually in front of the old log cabins in the main area. Next up was a walk back up the train tracks to the park and eventually to the the farm. Just as we were finishing up we did a few quick photos of everyone jumping which was an absolute blast. I still can’t believe how everyone committed to the jump. The enthusiasm everyone showed made the final shot a keeper.
Thanks again to Kristi and her family for being so easy going. We did some serious poses and a lot of fun random ones. It was a great evening and I wish I could have spent another hour with them.
