It was a very fun session yesterday over at the Tree Farm with Melanie and her family. They brought their new puppy with them, which was awesome, and as you’d expect, he kind of stole the show. At the end of the session, I was able to get a few photos of him walking and smelling everything in site.

I’m so excited to have a weekend full of mini sessions at the Tree Farm. It was such a great time last year, I decided to do it again. With the threat of rain in the forecast, Lindsay and her family pushed their session up to today. It worked out perfectly, because the weather was perfect.

If I had to sum up Krysta and Parker’s Wedding in one word, it would be ‘stunning’. Everything about their wedding was absolutely beautiful. From the house, to the decorations and of course everyone in attendance. To top it off, everyone there was so happy to be there and enjoying themselves. This obviously made for great, natural photos.

The weather cooperated perfectly for my portrait session with Kristin and her family. We used a beautiful open field as the setting for the session. It was absolutely perfect. Of course it helps when the kids are adorable. It made my job very easy.

I have been pretty much growing up alongside Lucas, which is why I once again photographed him for his birthday. Each year he gets bigger and bigger, and even funnier. This time around he was going on and on about his Halloween costume, which is a banana. I guess it’s a Fortnite thing, which I know nothing about.

I really do love engagement sessions. Not only are they fun, but they give me a good opportunity to actually meet the couple, and develop a relationship with them, before the wedding! This is actually a pretty rare occurrence these days.

Mount McKay was the location for my portrait session with Debbie and her family. It was cloudy, which was perfect, as I’ve mentioned many times before. The kids were a bit hyper, but we came away with lots of great posed and candid photos. For the second part of the session, we met up again further down the street by the water. It was a sunny day which meant for a nice contrast for the photos taken the day before!

Jessie and Bradley recently got a brand new puppy, so it was the perfect time for a mini session at the Tree Farm. The challenge was getting him to stay still, but he did so awesome. I can’t believe how fast the session flew by, but I’m so happy with all the great photos we came away with! Hopefully we can do another session next year to see how just how much bigger their puppy gets!

It was very fun session this evening at Centennial Park with Jen and her family. Of course any time kids are involved with these sessions, it makes it that much more fun.
I’ve shot many sessions at Centennial Park, so I know the location well. It’s very easy to find great spots scattered throughout. I still made sure to keep things moving and also snap some candids here and there.

With only a few weddings left this year, I’m really trying to take it all in. Luckily Julie and James were an extremely fun couple, so it made getting candid and sincere photos, pretty darn easy. My day started with Julie and the girls getting ready. I spent good hour with them just hanging out, documenting the time leading up to the ceremony.

Westfort, by the train yard, was the destination for one of my afternoon sessions yesterday. With the backdrop of the trains and grain elevators, it was so perfect. Wendy wanted to get photos of her family, since they were actually all together. She didn’t know when that would happen again, so we took advantage of the situation.
