Callie reached out to me for some updated headshots for her acting portfolio. She ended up going with my very popular 30 minute session. We used a couple different backdrops and lighting setups, and ended up getting a good range of poses. She was so great to work with and I know these photos will definitely help her out!

Lisa + Joel Backyard Wedding
My first wedding of the year was just as beautiful as I hoped it would be. Lisa and Joel decided to have a backyard wedding with just a few of their closest friends and family. As much as I enjoy shooting large weddings, it’s these intimate ones that really resonate with me. Before we arrived at the backyard ceremony, we started the short day at Seaman Park, right by boulevard lake. That’s the where the first look and the formal portraits took place.

Bohemian Queen - Featuring Jeans ‘n Classics
A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful event put on by the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Michael Shotton and the Jeans ’n Classics band teamed up with the TBSO to rock you with this high-energy tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen. It was a packed house, and when I wasn’t photographing the event, I was sitting back and taking in the amazing performance.

TBSO Rehearsal
It’s crazy times we live in right now, and as a creative, it’s going to be a difficult next few months. Before things got as serious as they are now, I had the pleasure of photographing the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra rehearsing before a show last week. TBSO needed updated photos for their promotional material as well as some specific photos of a few key artists in action. It was an amazing experience not only photographing our Symphony Orchestra in action, but also seeing the amount of work that goes into the day of a performance.

Big Lake Reflections - The Chanterelle
I had the honour of photographing a very special event at the Chanterelle earlier this week. It was called Big Lake Reflections and and it was put on by Eco Superior. It was intended to be an evening celebrating our relationship with Lake Superior through the Arts. A wonderful diverse, gathering of artists of various modalities were in attendance to share and highlight one piece of art that celebrates our relationship with Lake Superior. The goal was to hopefully inspire us all to deepen that relationship, and in turn, inspire greater stewardship.

It was such an amazing Family Day at Fort William Historical Park. Even though there were a lot of different events going on for Family Day throughout the city, we decided to spend most of our time at the park and it was well worth it. Melanie + Esker Newborn Session
Esker and Melanie recently welcomed their new daughter, Maeve, into the family. They weren’t planning on getting newborn photos done, but as soon as she arrived, they knew they had to. I get to do their wedding this coming September so I was super happy that I got to have a portrait session with them before then. Plus, I also got to meet Maeve, who might go down as the calmest baby I have ever met.

8th Annual Wolfy's Pond Cup
Last year was my first time photographing Wolfy’s Pond Cup. As soon as I finished taking photos of it, I knew I had to come out to the next one. Fast forward to today, and it was here again. TBSO Women & The Blues
This past Saturday I was invited to take photos of the TBSO Women and The Blues event at the Italian Hall. I had photographed a few TBSO events in the past, but this was by far my favourite one. Performers Nancy Freeborn and Zoey Williams sang a variety of songs by Billy Holiday and Diana Ross, amongst others.
Back by the TBSO, everyone put on such an amazing show in front of a sold out crowd. If you haven’t already, next time they perform together, I highly encourage you to check them out. It’s an evening of music will never forget!

Well, another year down and hopefully, another great one on the horizon. Looking back on all my weddings from 2019, really made me appreciate how lucky I am to be able to do this job. Brandon + Anna Wedding - Fort William Historical Park
My last wedding of 2019 took place at Fort William Historical Park. I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful location to end such an amazing year. Once I arrived I met up with Brandon and some of the wedding party at the main entrance. We hopped on the shuttle bus that eventually took us to the park, which is where everything was taking place. Once we got there, Anna arrived, and we made our way in. After gathering everyone in the wedding party and the immediate family, we continued on and photographed all the portraits.
