African Boutique Fashion Show - Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5

It’s always fun photographing a wide variety of events here in Thunder Bay. One of the more unique ones that I had the pleasure of covering recently, was the African Boutique Fashion Show. It was filled with so many amazing models and outfits, that it was impossible not to come away with great photos.

I’m not sure if I would ever be brave enough to jump in the cold lake, but it’s very fun to capture. Check out some of my favourite photos of the event.

I was very thankful that I had the afternoon off today to go and participate in, and capture, the MMIWGMB2S+ Valentines Day Memorial Walk. The opening ceremonies started at City Hall, here in Thunder Bay. Once that finished up a group of well over 100 people walked just under 2km to the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition. Once there, the drum group preformed once again and anybody in the crowd was invited to come up and speak if they wanted to.

Opening Cermemonies begin at 12pm @ City Hall, with the memorial walk from City Hall to the CLE Heritage building for light refreshments, drumming, guest speakers and prayers.
