I have actually been doing a lot of graduation photos as of late and I am looking forward to more in the coming weeks. For this session I actually had two graduates to photograph and both were family, which made it extra special. Sophie is graduating Grade 8 and Albany is graduation high school and off to McMaster next year, which is super exciting. My first spring wedding of the year was at the Whitewater Golf Club with the amazing Caleb and Sophie. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement session last year and I knew right way after capturing them during that day, that their wedding was going to be a great time. Let's just say that I wasn't disappointed. Upon arrival, I didn't even see Caleb or Sophie, but I wasn't expected to. Not many people were there at 1:00pm so I unloaded my camera gear and started to get some photos of the decorations and atmosphere before everyone arrived.
I recommend this for every wedding as it gives me a moment to take it all in and also get photos of things before they are altered or moved around. As the guests started to arrive I continued to get some candid photos of people, as I do with every single wedding. Honestly, the candid photos are the ones that couples tend to like the best, so I make sure to get a ton of them during the entire wedding day. We have been so lucky with the weather lately and this past Saturday was no exception. It couldn't have been a nicer day to do an engagement session with Sophie and Caleb. I will be photographing their wedding next May but they wanted to be sure to get some engagement photos done well before the wedding.
