2024 BNA Community Powwow - Grandview Road
One of my absolute favourite events of the year is the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek Powwow on Grandview Road. It’s an all day event with vendors, amazing dancers and it’s just an all around good time.

It’s an all day event with vendors, amazing dancers and it’s just an all around good time. This year was no exception either. The weather held up right up until the end, only raining for about 15 minutes. I actually found it refreshing. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek - Community Powwow - Current River Community Centre
This past weekend the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek hosted a community Powwow at the Current River Community Centre, in honour of Residential School Survivors. It was such a great turnout and I managed to capture a lot of great photos!

34th Annual Indigenous Cultural Traditions Club Powwow - Lakehead University
One of my favourite Powwow’s of the year took place once again this past weekend at Lakehead University. It was the the 34th Annual Indigenous Cultural Traditions Powwow. It was a 3 day event and I was able to make it out on the Saturday to capture some photos and video. As always, it was an amazing time!

ONWA Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Pow Wow
The Ontario Native Women's Association (ONWA) Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG) Pow Wow took place this afternoon. This powerful event brought communities together to honour the lives of Indigenous women and girls, celebrating their strength and resilience.

As part of Orange Shirt Day, FWFN hosted their annual Fall Powwow up on Thunder Mountain. It was a very special Powwow because September 30th is also now National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It was such an amazing turnout and I was so thankful to be a part of it.
