Hannah + Chris Maternity Session
Chris decided to do the session at his grandparents’ property, which ended up being an absolutely amazing backdrop. I also got to meet their dog Indy, who reminded me so much of our dog Bea. Such a personality. As you would imagine, the photos turned out perfect, which is almost impossible when you a have a beautiful couple like Hannah and Chris.

Amy + David + Jace at Centennial Park
Amy and David decided to do a spring portrait session this past weekend at Centennial Park and I really couldn't wait, for a couple reasons. The first one being Amy is pregnant expecting her second child, and the second one being I got to see how much more Jace had grown up.

This session was just a 30 minute one but we came away with a ton of great photos. Amy brought two cans on a string as a prop and it ended up producing some of my favourites from the session. It also helped that Jace was probably one of the calmest kids I have ever photographed. I felt like he could have done it all day!
Once the photo portion of the session was over, Amy and David were kind enough to let me shoot a very short video of them. This is something I want to start offering families and wedding clients so it was great to get a chance to do it. I could have easily spent 3 hours following them around but I didn't want to take up too much of their time. If you want to view the video, you can find it below, as well photos from the session as well.
Craig + Dakota Portraits
It was my second mini session of the day in the new studio and I got to hang out with an amazing couple in Craig and Dakota who are expecting their first child very soon. So, they wanted to get a few maternity photos done before the baby arrived. Then, in about a month or so, we are going to get back together and do some family photos, which I'm super excited for.

Craig and Dakota were so photogenic and I just love how the photos turned out. They were a bit shy at first but it didn't take long for them to get completely comfortable in front of the camera. Craig even struck some fun poses for me!
It was quick session but I managed to capture a lot of great shots.
Brittney + Adam + Chase - Thunder Bay Marina
Well, it was too long ago that I photographed Brittney and her family. During that shoot, it was a reveal that she was pregnant. We had a great time. If you would like to check that session out, here you go. This time around Brittney is just about ready to bring a new addition to the family. Before it was too late, we decided to get some 'maternity' photos outdoors, at the Marina again. We both thought it was a fitting location, seeing as how thats' where she first announced it.

As soon as they arrived, Chase, decided to do a full on sprint around the skating rink. You would think he would slow down a bit after that, but no, he went non stop for the rest of the session. He did, however, stop here and there to give us some photo opportunities. Just like the last session, we kept this one fun and spontaneous, never staying in one spot too long.
Next up will most likely be some photos once the baby arrives which I can't wait for!
