Baby Shower for Gabriel

As a present to Jamie and Cory, who are family, I took photos for their baby shower for Gabriel. It took place at the Northend Recreation Centre and it ended up being the perfect location. Apparently, the centre double booked which meant Jamie had to have the shower outside, which was perfect. There was great lighting, the kids had more room to run around, and I got lots of great shots at the playground as well.

Anytime I get the chance to take photos of family I get super excited. Of course, when kids are involved, that makes it even better! You can view all the photos from the shower below!

Tyra + Hayden + Jayme - Jumbo Gardens

Jumbo Gardens was once again the location for my latest portrait session. The last time I was here it was Fall time, but this time around winter was in full swing which meant a totally different setting.

Jumbo Gardens was once again the location for my latest portrait session. The last time I was here it was Fall time, but this time around winter was in full swing which meant a totally different setting.

Tyra, Hayden and Jaime joined me this time around. Because they close friends I have had the opportunity to photograph Jaime here in there but not really for a prolonged period of time. So when I had an hour with the entire family, including their dogs, Mack and Diesel, I was super excited.

It's always a challenge to do a family shoot when dogs are involved but luckily in this case, both of them are well trained. It took some patience but they always eventually posed for us. Jaime, as usual, was a natural behind the camera. He played by his own rules but we managed to get him to stop talking and stand still for moments at a time.

All in all it was a very fun session with a wonderful back drop. I think everyone had fun even though we had to trudge through the snow. My favourite photo of the day was when Max and Diesel patiently and anxiously waited to be untied from the tree.
