The amazing Helen Pelletier was at it again with her beautiful birch bark hat. I can’t even imagine all the work that goes into this. I feel very honoured to be able to photograph such a wonderful piece of work.
Helen Pelletier - 'Dagwagani Mawandochige'
Once again I got the opportunity to photograph one of Helen Pelletier’s birch bark pieces. This one is called ‘Dagwagani Mawandochige’, which means fall gathering. It’s a winter birch bark 30-30 rifle holder. I say this every time, but it’s probably her best work to date.
