Craft Revival Spring 2022

One of my favourite events of the year took place this afternoon, The Craft Revival. It actually takes place twice a year, and this was the spring edition. Even though it doesn’t really feel like spring is here with all the snow we have been getting. Regardless, the weather did hold up and it ended up being the perfect day to walk around all the venues downtown.

I’m always amazed at how many talented artists there in this city. It seems like each year this event happens I see a local artist I never saw before. I’m so happy I was available to attend this year and capture just a small portion the event!

Craft Revival 2021

It has taken quite a long time for things to get back to some kind of normal. Before COVID, we were spoiled with large events and gatherings. Fast forward to this past weekend, when Craft Revival (was revived) and took place once again. Even though it wasn’t as expansive as previous versions, it was still a huge success.

There were so many great vendors taking place and each venue was busy with people doing their holiday shopping. It felt so good to be out on a weekend, walking around and exploring and shopping. Hopefully this is the start of many more such events in the new year!

2019 Holiday Craft Revival

The 2019 Holiday Craft Revival took place this past weekend and it was an overwhelming success. Well, at least that’s how it looked to me. I couldn’t believe all the people that showed up to shop. Over course, there were over 200 vendors at a variety of locations downtown, so there was no excuse not to come out. Every single business that took part was busy and full of people enjoying the event.

I actually had a booth at the Spring Craft Revival and it was a great time. I had the chance to sell some of my photography and meet and connect with some amazing people. This time around I wanted to to once again capture the event. Although I did miss selling my work, I had a great time wandering around Downtown Port Arthur for 6 hours. It was a long day but I managed to get some really great photographs as well as some video too. I just have to decide if I will be capturing the next Spring edition or selling my prints once again. At least I have some time to decide!

The 2019 Holiday Craft Revival took place this past weekend in Downtown Port Arthur, Thunder Bay. It's a bi-annual event in which over 200 vendors showcase and sell their products at various local businesses downtown. It's a full day of fun, and each year it keeps getting busier and busier.
